Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon and an officer in the US Air Force

About Me

I'm originally a farm-boy from a small town in Illinois. After college and Air Force ROTC, I became a pilot in the Air Force. I flew the T-6 "Texan II" as an instructor and later flew the F-16. I am now in training as a Regional Affairs Strategist in the Air Force, specializing in Sub-Saharan Africa. I'm happily married and am the father of 3 (2 girls / 1 boy).

Why I am a Mormon

I converted when I was 24 years old for a host of reasons -- mainly because I had found what I had been searching for all of my life. Questions which I had been asking were given, and our plan of happiness was presented. I then prayed and knew that the Church of Latter-Day Saints was the only way for me and my family. What a difference it has made! An eternal difference!

How I live my faith

Becoming a mormon changed my outlook on life and how I am with others. I found ways to help whoever is in need, no matter their religion. I love to work with the youth and am a ScoutMaster of a small group of Boy Scouts. Through service, scripture study, and a newfound love for all of my fellow brothers and sisters in this world, I am able to put my talents to work and truly help. Service, especially, has truly been rewarding...
