Hi I'm Robert

I love music! I'm a singer, an artist, and I love camping. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If English or German are the languages of heaven, I'd be set on both counts. After serving in Germany for two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I developed a love for the German people and the language. Since then, I've toyed with the idea of going into linguistics and learn many other languages. Aside from that, art is my passion. I love to draw, paint, sculpt, and anything else that anyone will teach me to do. I love music--especially singing it. Anytime I go to a concert with friends, they know to expect that I'll be singing right along with the band. Other than that, I love being outside. Camping is wonderful, and the more crazy sports you can do while you're in the mountains the better!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this church(the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints), so I could say that I'm a Mormon because of my parents. That's only partially true. My parents not only taught me that God loves us and that Jesus Christ is His Son, but they showed me that I could pray to my Heavenly Father and get answers for myself. They taught me that He actually cares about what I think and the questions I have. So, as a 7 year old boy, I decided to ask God if the things my parents had taught me were true; namely: Was Joseph Smith really a prophet of God, and is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints true? That was my simple question as a 7 year old boy, but I asked in faith. I didn't get the answer right away, but I knew God would answer me. The answer to my prayer came the following day as I was in church on Sunday. I was in a sort of Sunday school for children called "Primary", and at the end of the lessons and activities, the primary leader shared her testimony about the same things I had prayed about the night before. She said in essence, "I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that the Church of Jesus Christ is once again on the earth, lead by Jesus Christ Himself through a living prophet, just like in ancient times".

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday to worship the Lord and to renew the covenants I made with Him at baptism. I teach a group of my peers at something called "Family Home Evening", where we talk about the gospel of Jesus Christ and have activities just to have fun! I try to help and serve other people, and try to live by the simple things I learned as a kid. Such as treating other people as I would like to be treated and to be honest in my dealings with other people.
