Hi I'm Doug

I'm a motorsport enthusiast, I'm a do-it-yourselfer, I'm a cancer survivor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently spreading God's word to the people of up-state New York. I grew up in Utah valley. I absolutely love cars and pretty much everything hands-on. Music, snowboarding, longboarding, nature, cruising-working-racing in/on my car, and chillin are some things that I'm into. I'm an introverted/independent kind of person, but my family and friends mean the world to me. Best of all, I have conquered cancer.

Why I am a Mormon

so I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life. But, that doesn't mean I have been converted all my life. I just kinda went with the ebbs and flows of the faith for a good majority of the time before I truly became converted. It never really was my desire to go full bore with it until I came out on my mission. I never doubted the doctrine. Not an ounce of it for one second. I just always wanted to do what i wanted to do, and everything else just took a place in line. It wasn't until i delved into the scriptures, and really invested my heart and soul in the doctrine while on my mission that i became converted. It makes sense right? That which you feed grows. I was feeding my wants in life up to that point. Then my wants turned closer and closer to the Lord's will as I learned more about him through scripture, prayer, church attendance, experience, service, and feeling the Holy Ghost witness to my soul of the validity and divinity of these things. Ultimately, I learned that He extended the length of my time here on earth purely for my overall eternal benefit. I realized why I'm here and that The church that has been restored to the earth through a loving prophet of God has all the resources for me and all mankind to secure our places in the kingdom of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a two year mission. I couldn't be engaged in any better a cause than what I'm doing right now. I am blessing myself, and the most satisfying of all, everyone around me by spreading God's truth. I also taught the 10 year old children in church at home before i came out to my mission. I helped them understand the scriptures and how it applies to them. I helped them establish their relationship with our savior and redeemer. I live my faith by being charitable with my resources and with my time. By smiling and saying hi to people in my community. By trying to make life an enjoyable experience for those around me. I live my faith by Loving my God and my neighbor.
