Hi I'm Lobi

I grew up in Berlin and my mother and me learned there about the Church and became in 1960 members.

About Me

I grew up in Berlin. My dad died in 1955 when I was in the age of ten. My mother has been very religious. We where members of the evangelical Church. I was an active member of that Church. But my Mother was not satisfied and she was looking for more knowledge and truth. We visited Mission Events of for example Billy Graham as well as many other Churches. One day, two missionaries oft he Church of Jesus Christ LDS knocked at oures door and my mother had a great expectation. She came to the conclusion, that what they taught to her was the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and she was baptized. I was allowed to decide for themselves, whether I would stay in my previous belief. I decided, trusting in that what my mother did was correct, also to be baptized into that Church. So I became baptized in spring of 1960 in the Grunewaldsee. We moved to Schleswig-Holstein. There I learned a handiwork and fulfilled after that for two years a Buildingmission. In that former church buildings I installed the electrical systems. After my mission I studied in Hamburg and went after that professionally to Stuttgart. First I worked in the research of a large car supplier in Gerlingen next to Stuttgart, than I was civil servant at the Deutsche Bundespost Fernmeldewesen today German Telekom. I worked in education and later in adult education as a Trainer and Couch.

Why I am a Mormon

I was so blessed with loving parents and a mother that was animated with a deep faith in God. With her I learned the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints knowing. Missionaries trained her in teaching and my mother was a witness to the truth and joined the Church through baptism. I initially followed her example, but very quickly developed my own conviction of the truth. I was an active member and served full conviction of the Church and my fellow man. Conversion of teaching in my daily life through the experience deepened with the gospel and my testimony grew to a certainty. I know that Jesus is our Savior, through his redemptive plan, we can return in the presence of our heavenly parents. This certainty has carried me through all difficulties of life and always helped me back on the straight and narrow path to Christ to return. I thank the Lord for his kindness and his care and his infinite love. He lives, Jesus Christ lives and gave us the Holy Spirit as the Comforter sent to guide us into all truth and all that reminds us what Christ has taught us. Each one can, if he exercises faith in Christ, experienced by the power of the Holy Spirit, the same witness. Is not that wonderful?

How I live my faith

Since my baptism I rooted more deeply in the community and in the teaching of the Church. I practiced at an early age vocations in the church. In my life I had the rewarding opportunity to be allowed to serve in various functions. I am currently responsible in ground and buildings in Stuttgart Stake Stake A geographical area where several communities are served. Here I am responsible to wear with other officers in the communities together, ensuring that religious institutions use their legitimate purpose, the members meet as a place of worship, learning and serving. Also, I am instructed to visit communities in the area monthly and the members there to build and strengthen them. A very great pleasure I have on working with children and adolescents. Of course I meet in my own parish duties in service to others. I visit e.g. monthly a small number of families at her home on behalf of the bishop and support in all matters in which they desire and need assistance, spiritually, as well temporaly. In the community I will fulfill orders with joy, as they assign me to the bishop. I am the Lord wholeheartedly grateful for the opportunity he gives me in his vineyard my fellow man, his children, to serve.
