Hi I'm David

I'm an advertising professional, a husband and father of five wonderful kids & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and five kids are the center of my life and it feels like I never have enough time to spend with with them. One of my daughters has many special needs, which makes life even more challenging, interesting, difficult, and full of love--all at the same time. There never seem to be enough hours in the day to do all I want to do between work, family and church, but I love every minute of it. I am a college graduate of the University of Houston, and a professional advertising salesman.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, but I'm not a Mormon because of them. I'm a Mormon because I have learned for myself that it is the church that Jesus Christ himself restored to the earth. By following His teachings and applying them in my daily life I find happiness and peace that do not exist elsewhere. I can not imagine making it through many of the trials of life without support my faith give me. I am a Mormon because I have prayed for God to guide me and he has answered that I'm doing his will.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working with the teenage boys in our congregation. For the past several years I've seen young boys grow into men, and have had the honor of teaching them along the way. We support the Boy Scouts of America and have many activities for the boys. I love both teaching and learning from "my boys", and nothing is more gratifying than seeing them mature and make good choices. I also visit a few families in our congregation each month to teach a lesson and help whenever and however possible.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

David
This is one of the greatest blessings our Father in Heaven gives to us. I have no interest in marriage "until death". I want my family with me forever, and that is what the Lord has offered us. My wife and I married in the temple, where we were also sealed together. This means that by living as the Savior asks us to, we can be together after we die, as husband and wife. How could it truly be heaven if my wife and children are not with me? Knowing it can be a reality gives me motivation to do my part to make it happen. Show more Show less
