Hi I'm Josh

I am a student who has forgotten the meaning of free time

About Me

I grew up in a pretty good neighborhood where my parents taught me to help other people whenever the need arises. They showed me that charity has little to do with financial status or with your capability to do, but with how much time we spend helping eachother. I wrestled, played football and trew shotput in high school, I learned what it is to work and know how to do so with a smile :) I love life, I have had multiple open heart surguries and know that it is only by the grace of God that I am alive today. I was just a small baby when I had the operations but they have always been to me a reminder that this life is temporary, we will one day be with our loved ones again. As long as we do what God is asking us to do every day.

Why I am a Mormon

First of all I was born in the church but that is only the introduction. I was baptized at 8 years old and when I was I had no idea how smart that decision was. When I was baptized I recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost and that is what has helped me be who I am. Relying on God for what I don't know sounds really weird but is real. Whenever I have some serious questions about life or something around me I go to my Father in Heaven through prayer and I listen for an answer and I know I will get it when I need it. Today I am working to help people around me to understand what I have come to know and love. God speaks and loves us a lot. No matter what is going around us we can find what God has to say and find a greater sense of happiness as we follow what he says. I know that the scriptures are true because I feel a great sense of love and peace when I read, I know they are telling about real things because I become really happy as I follow the commandments they teach. So I continue to follow what I have found to be the greatest source of happiness. I know, even when I put words to it it sounds too good to be true but it is true and it is real, I have the hardest time putting words to it all because it is so personal. But I know I am a Mormon and it is great.

How I live my faith

I am a student who stands up every day for what is right. I am studying a very high demand and very complex field. Every day presents itself with opportunities to compromise myself and what I stand for by cheating or just being a foolish student. I don't compromise myself but have developed a reputation for being very steady in what I am and how I work. Some of my classmates also know that they can come to me to understand how they can enjoy every day a little more.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Josh
The Church was founded by God, he called a young man named Joseph Smith and gave him authority to act in his name to organize a group of people into what we now call the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is the same authority that Peter James and John of the New Testament had when they organized the church in their day and maintained it to the best of their abilities. The authority is part of what we call the Priesthood and it is the power and authority to act in the name of God. The authority is still on the Earth and is the key to the leadership of the church because it is not led by the ideas of grey headed men. It is led by men who know how to listen when the Lord is telling them whats up. Show more Show less
