Hi I'm Robert

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been employed as a manager at the local steel plant (Bar Mill) for over thirty-five years. Married for 469 months this June.(We celebrate monthly - otherwise I'd probably forget the yearly anniversary and like the comic book character Dagwood, have lumps on my head applied by Blondie's frying pan!). Have five children and 14 grandchildren. I'm proud to be a "squiggle" (as opposed to a square, triangle or circle - personality wise)! When asked to "think outside the box", I say, "I don't even know where the box is"! When not at work, work, work I enjoy vegetable and flower gardening. Enjoy learning (philomath), especially learning new words, meanings and origins. Love learning where people's families originated from, especially based on their family name. I'm a Francophile (somebody's got to do it) and Francophone, having served a church mission in Belgium and France.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I've studied the religion long and hard, prayed about its truth and have received a personal witness from the Holy Ghost that it is true. And I love the truth. Now its a matter of "living" it, not just talking about it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to keep the Sabbath day holy. I search the scriptures and try to keep my life in harmony with the teachings of the Gospel so that I can enjoy the blessings of the Spirit.
