Hi I'm RaeAnn Crichton

I am full Samoan. I graduated from Eastern Washington University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Washington for most of my life and absolutely love the rain that it brings. I am full samoan and I love to spend time with my family including my relatives all over the world. My family means a lot to me because they are the biggest support system that I have. My little brother plays college football now so watching him play is one of my favorite family moments. I love to play basketball and volleyball myself, but I am up to playing other sports as well. I graduated in June from a four year university with a bachelors degree in Children's Studies. I am trying to get a job as a teacher and hopefully later on as a counselor. I love working with children and I can't wait to have my own. I love this Gospel and recognize the blessings I have received from it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a been a member my whole life and pretty much grew up with the same members in my ward. So never had my faith been tested more than when I was in college with none of my support system with me. College life was something I was prepared for academically, but as it came to my social life I couldn't believe how normal drinking and partying was. Its not what I was use to, but only having two non-member friends I decided to join them and see where it leads. What I learned was that as much fun as they were having that night, the next morning was always full of regret. I didn't go to church this time but what when I realized there was no joy in these activities I went back to church, and from the moment I went back to church I can feel peace and eternal joy enter throughout my whole body. Although I was so far away from my family the Lord made me feel right at home in his Gospel, like I never left his sight. I'm a Mormon because I understand the difference between fun and joy, and joy and peace is what I want in my life. I'm a Mormon because I believe in multiple chances and that our Heavenly Father is willing to forgive all if we fully repent of our sins. He loves us with all of his heart, and the trials we go through are meant to make us a better person. Some people say we are strict with our ways, but if you think about it, its really the world that seems to becoming undone. This Gospel stands strong despite the problems the world has and it is here to bring peace and joy into your life, if you would accept it. I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ and the love that He has for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the actions I have towards others. I volunteer in the community for parks cleanups, and I help raise money for Relay 4 Life that goes towards research to fight cancer. If someone needs help moving out of a place and into another I am there, and if someone needs a place to stay I have an extra room. I visit other members of my ward to see how they're doing each month. I live my faith while striving to be the perfect person just like Jesus Christ. He was the perfect example of how our lives are suppose to be lived. Whenever I run into trouble I pray and ask for help, and never does he let me down. I live my faith through my actions towards others.
