Hi I'm Pat Howlett

I live in Columbus, Ohio. I have nine beautiful children. Serving my family and the Lord is my greatest joy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm a mom and a grandma. I love my family and doing things with them. I also love reading, especially studying the history of people and what they did to contribute to the good of humanity. I'm an Amateur Radio Operator, and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I know God lives! I know I'm a child of God and He loves everyone of us. That is why He sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to save us all. Oh how I love my savior, Jesus Christ, because He loved us so much He was willing to make the infinite and eternal sacrifice for all mankind. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the same church that Jesus had set up for us when He was on the earth and that the fullness of the Gospel has been restored to us again by the Prophet Joseph Smith. Through studying the scriptures, especially the Bible and the Book of Mormon, pondering, and praying about it, the Lord has confirmed this truth to me through the power of His spirit, the Holy Ghost. I find that the more I read and ponder the words of God, the closer I feel to Him. I also know that families can be together forever through receiving and obeying the saving ordinances gven in the House of the Lord. How blessed we are!

How I live my faith

Sharing my faith is a great joy to me.  I have a large, wonderful family which bring me so much joy and I am so grateful that we are a becoming a forever family by being sealed in the temples of our Lord. I've learned that getting to know people everywhere has made me want to share this Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. Sometimes it is through telling them about it, sometimes it is through helping them weed their garden or clean their house, or just sharing a smile or a kind word. Going to church is a joy to me. I look forward to it every week because I am always uplifted by the collective faith of all the members there and serving others each week. One of the things my husband and I enjoy doing is helping people learn English through a conversational English class. We meet three times a week and practice very basic words and conversational needs, such as getting to know your neighbor, shopping for clothes, at the post office, how to say a prayer in English, etc. It is great to see the progress made by each of the students and their eyes shine with delight as they begin to understand how to converse in English.
