Hi I'm Susie Hilton A.

I'm a mom of 5 girls. I love music, to sew, to read. I'm a Mormon, I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I grew up with 5 siblings in a little town. We had horses, a cow, cats and we raised English Pointer puppies to sell. I lived close to many cousins. At age 19 I got to be a mother's helper in New York City/Connecticut. I went on an LDS mission to Spain. I graduated from college in Elementary Education and Spanish. I had wonderful jobs in my youth. My husband and I married at age 26. We have 5 daughters, 2 married yea, son-in-laws! and 2 grandchildren. We still have 2 girls at home. I'm so very glad to have been a stay-at-home mom all these years. It hasn't been easy, but it's definitely been worth it. I volunteer at the elementary school a lot. I love our beautiful earth I love running the Flaming Gorge river, to garden, and to pull weeds. I love playing the piano and singing. I like to work on the computer and take photos. I like to read the books my girls read, especially biographies/autobiographies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because my parents, whole town, and ancestors were. But then I saw its wisdom on my own. I now know that its lifestyle is all I've ever needed and wanted. I feel companionship and help from the Holy Spirit. I'm continually learning more truth about God and my relationship to him. My husband blesses our family with his Priesthood, like every worthy father may. I get great peace attending the temples of the earth, the House of the Lord. I know the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Christ goes hand in hand with the Holy Bible to teach us the greatness of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I love to hear the words of our living prophet and the 12 apostles of the Lord. It's an incredible life.

How I live my faith

Right now I teach eight-year-old cub scouts every week. I visit and teach 5 women every month. I substitute playing the organ when needed. I get to go to church three hours every Sunday with my family. It's always a spiritual feast. My daughters go every Sunday where they live. Sometimes I get to take part in singing or playing the piano for special musical numbers at church. In the past I've been privileged to teach music and the gospel to children, teach nursery children, teach the Bible and Book of Mormon to adults, go on a full-time mission to Spain (which is now my beloved second country), help lead a congregation's women, help with a big pioneer celebration, help with district cub scouts, and help many leaders of children's music for ten congregations.
