Hi I'm Victoria

I'm an artist, designer, mother, gallery director, grandmother, good friend, primary leader, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a multi-media designer who creates works on the Mac and the canvas or sculpts in glass with metal and added curio that captures my fancy. Captured fancy is a way of life for me, in and out of the job description, as both an art collector/creator and as the director and co-curator of a contemporary art gallery. I grew up in Washington, attended the Art Institute of Seattle and graduated with a degree in commercial art. While in Seattle I studied hard and would frequent the local galleries and the Seattle Art Museum on a regular basis. Fearing I was beginning to rust, I headed for warmer climate and settled in Las Vegas in 1997. I quickly uncovered the local art scene and began supporting the small but ever thriving Arts District. Formerly the creative director of a leading computer game company, I have over twenty-five years of experience in design and marketing.

Why I am a Mormon

I came from a long history of drinking and endless parties. When I moved to Las Vegas I was 35, a single parent, and knew I wanted something more out of life for my child and myself. So my conversion story goes like this... I was designing a music CD for a friend and he had a diagram of circles and lines he wanted on the CD booklet. I told him no way, it looked dumb. He told me that was His Plan, and it had to be in there. So of course I was curious and wanted to know if his plan was better than mine (I didn't really have one). He told be about the Plan of Salvation. That 30-minute conversation changed my life forever. Why had no one told me about this before? He sent me home with a book titled The Truth Restored; I stayed up all night reading. I had never felt the spirit of the Lord before but I knew he was with me that night. I knew what I was reading was true, so now what? The next week I was back to my old party ways but something was different, it was not fun, I had new information, I was different. So the following Sunday I grabbed my daughter and we walked to a church around the corner, just so happens it was a LDS chapel! I called my friend I designed the CD for and asked him to baptize my daughter and I. He could not believe it. After joining the church a whole new world opened up to me. I was gaining knowledge I never had before. I grew more proficient on the computer and got a great job at a computer game company. Soon I was running the design department and my life was growing for the better in so many different ways. I contribute all I have and all I am to the Lord and his guidance.

How I live my faith

I'm not perfect, I make lots of mistakes, but I try hard to do my best and choose the right. I stay active in the church by teaching the kids about the gospel, paying my tithing, and serving others when ever possible.
