Hi I'm Jake

I'm a husband, father, Army Ranger vet, Eagle scout, System Engineer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My second passion, after my family, is with firearms. I love reloading ammunition and spending time at the shooting range. I also love to make and fix things whether its home improvements or creating something from a new idea. I like online gaming with my brother who lives two time zones away. I also enjoy sewing. Yes, I'm a guy who just said I like sewing. I love coming up with great ideas and creating new tactical gear, sniper drag bags, rifle bags, backpacks, and other custom gear for myself and for others.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is the true church of God restored to us on this earth in these days. This conclusion was not made blindly. I am an independent thinker and make my decisions accordingly without regard to social pressure. I have put great thought into the LDS church and it's teachings. When God and the teachings of the LDS church are applied, every aspect of human life on this earth makes sense to me. When God or the teachings of the LDS church are removed from the equation then human life on this earth becomes a meaningless coincidence. When it comes to things such as politics, science, and our existence I do not believe in coincidence. Everything around me has provided evidence that God exists and the teachings of the LDS church are genuine. The experiences throughout my entire life, the good and the bad, is evidence to me that God exists and the teachings of the LDS church are true. I can not deny what I know to be true and what I know to be true is the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I find great satisfaction serving my neighbors and the members of my church. I attend weekly meetings to address the welfare of the members of my church and how to best serve them. I do my best to be a good example to my children, to my coworkers, and those around me. I love reading the scriptures daily. They are full of adventures that teach invaluable lessons on how to better live my life and how to better love and serve my fellow brothers and sisters of this world. I visit with families of my church monthly to better know them, offer assistance in any way that is needed, and to share an inspiring message.
