Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom of two kids. I love reading, blogging, and playing the piano. I got my Bachelor's Degree in Finance. I've been married for 7 years. Oh, and I love movies, music, and playing the guitar. I have too many hobbies. And I like cooking. I forgot about the cooking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon by my parents who are converts to this church. As an adult, I'm an active member of this church because it brings peace, happiness and balance in my life like nothing else can.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and teach the 5 year-old kids about the church with my husband. There are great activities that I will go to about making my life better or just getting to know people. I live my faith by keeping my mind and body clean from things that can harm me physically and spiritually. I try everyday to use clean, polite language, to be honest and to watch/read/listen to things that are uplifting and positive. I eat healthy food and stay away from coffee, tobacco, drugs, alcohol and anything else that is bad for me. I read the Bible and the Book of Mormon everyday to help me remember what is really important in my life. Most of all, I just try to be a good example to my kids and those around me.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Jessica
I was baptized when I was eight years old. My dad taught me the same things that he taught to others on his mission who were interested in our church. He asked me to think about it, and I decided that I wanted to be baptized. I believe in baptism by immersion because I believe that this was the way that Jesus was baptized. I believe that we are all here on this earth to make choices and it's important to be old enough to make your own choice of whether you want to be baptized. Being baptized and becoming a member of this church has brought so many blessings in my life and I'm grateful that I was able to make that important decision on my own. Show more Show less
