Hi I'm Vanessa

I'm a Mormon. I am a registered nurse. My passion in life is helping others.

About Me

My name is Vanessa and I am a new registered nurse. I recently graduated from nursing school and am so glad that school is in the past, however, I plan on continuing my education. I am married but we don't have any children yet. I love to read, scrapbook, camp, and especially boat! Between wake boarding and skiing I would have to say that I enjoy water skiing much more.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a mormon household so I have always been surrounded by the gospel. However, when I left home for college I realized how much I truly loved the gospel and need it in my daily life. I continue to be an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it brings me such comfort in times of hardship. I have had so many experiences that have testified of the truth of this church that I can never deny it. I can feel the love that my Heavenly parents have for me when I follow the teaching of the gospel.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints allows me to help and interact with others in ways that would be impossible if I did not attend it. I go to church ever Sunday and have been able to learn from the youth of the church. I have been able to take part in so many different things; such as: teaching children gospel principles, organizing youth girls camps, and playing the piano in church meetings. During the week the women of the church often meet for activities that strengthen others. Some things that I have been able to do is we made kits full of daily item that can be shipped off to countries in need and we have also made many blankets. There is so much that I have been able to do for others through the church, and this brings the greatest joy that I have ever experienced.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

I do believe that families, including husband and wife, can be together forever. My husband and family are what bring me true happiness in this life and I feel that God wants everyone to be happy. He wouldn't take that away from us if we are worthy to be with our families. When we go to the temple and make covenants with the Lord it is bound on earth as well as in heaven. The Lord is the ultimate giver of hope. Where would our hope lie if we could not be with our families forever? Show more Show less
