Hi I'm Ray

I'm from Minnesota, I served in the United States Navy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I came out of the U.S. Navy in March of 1957. In the service I had met a young lady who was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She came on a mission to Minnesota! Her mother asked her if she had contacted me! When she did get a hold of me I went down to see her and that brought me in contact with the missionaries.

Why I am a Mormon

To help me know if I was really interested in joining the church, a local church leader suggested that I fast for 48 hours to know that it was true and if I should join. It was quite a trial but after doing this I knew I wanted to be a member of the Mormon church!

How I live my faith

I keep God's commandments, attend meetings on a regular basis, and accept volunteer positions in the church so I can be of service to the members. I am active in my communtiy by working on the local communtiy fund as well as being a member of the American Legion.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Ray
We believe that families can be forever, not just for this life. In Matthew 1619 Christ says to the apostle Peter "Whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven". This means that if we are married by this same power that Christ gave to Peter, we can be married not just for this life, but for time and all eternity. Show more Show less
