Hi I'm Sara

I'm a student, I love the desert, I'm hanging out in Washington as a missionary, I believe in Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to school studying Exercise Science to eventually become a doctor or a physician assistant. I will be taking about the next two years of school off so that I can serve a mission for the LDS church. I have been called to go on a mission and talk to people about the church and about God and Jesus Christ and I have no doubt it will be the best experience of my life. While I have my own plans for my life, I know God also has a plan and it's my job to trust his guidance. It's all about faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I was raised as a Mormon but not a lot of people around me growing up were. It gave me a chance to see what else there was out there and a chance to decide that this is what I want to do and what I want to be, and I will be forever grateful for it. This church is not about forcing people to do things. Everything revolves around agency, or our ability to choose. There was a time in my life where I struggled with a lot of things, including my faith in God and in the church. When everything finally came to a head, I had to get down on my knees and know for myself and only through God was I able to make it. I am now a much happier person, and it is one of the reasons I am choosing to go on a mission, to share this with as many people as I can. If God can take the time to listen to me and pull me away from where I was, then He can help anyone, and I want to share that message of hope with everyone I can. This is, without a doubt in my mind, the true church of God, and anyone can come to know that. All you have to do is ask.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it! It's not always easy, but it's a great thing to go out every day and talk to people about what I believe and help them grow in their faith. The gospel is pretty simple-faith, repentance, baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end-but it can be tough. No one ever said this life would be easy, but it would be worth it. Without a doubt, every time in my life that I have been happy is when I have chosen to follow the guidance that God has given me through the scriptures, through the prophet, and through my own personal prayer and study. He loves me and each and every one of His children and is ready and willing to help us, as soon as we take the first step toward Him.
