Hi I'm Robin

I've lived in NJ, CA and UT. I've been a C.N.A., artist, gardener. I'm a daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandmom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a quiet person most of the day. I love to garden, that is...when winter decides to allow spring and summer to share the view! Gardening is my favorite! I love to "plant a seed and watch it grow". The gym is a great place to de-stress and meditate. Family history is so exciting! FAMILY FAMILY FAMILY is my thing! But, now that everyone is grown...just cuz it's my thing doesn't mean it's their thing. Relief Society has always been a great place for me. I love the friendships I find there. My dogs are so sweet. Each has a personality that is so unique. Love horses and cows. I know, I know...weird. I love to read, but rarely make time to do it anymore. Life is just so hectic these days.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Savior. Since I was a small child, I knew him in my heart. I knew he was the way and the light. There has NEVER been a question in my mind. I was going through divorce in March of 1989. It was one of the hardest times of my life. A sweet young woman I worked with, slid a BOOK OF MORMON across my desk and told me, "All the answers you need are in this book." I asked her, "Will I smile like you? Will it make me happy like you?" She said, "I promise you, it will help you change your life." She was so right. My life has never been the same. I have since that day, had the power of discernment. I know right from wrong. I know how to choose the right. I know evil from good. I know when things aren't as they should be and I flee from the situations that are not good, or I change them. I love the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Principles we live by. I love Sacrament Meeting. Even on the days that it's hard to get up and go we've all had them, free agency is a stinker we get there and are uplifted by the messages we hear. It is truly DIVINE. I look forward to meeting all of you and reading your stories.

How I live my faith

I accept every calling I'm ever given with great aniticpation and excitement. Every calling is important in the LORDS church. I fulfill those callings to the best of my ability. Each person I serve, I am serving for my Father in Heaven. He is watching me. Even a bulletin matters to him because it is a symbol of his church. I volunteer for everything I can when sign up sheets come around. Participation is essential in getting to know the people in the ward and it helps me feel involved. I confess to my Bishop when I know I need to. If i even feel the slightest feeling of "uh oh" or "oops I've done it again". It doesn't matter what OTHER PEOPLE DO or what OTHER PEOPLE THINK. It is MY ETERNAL PROGRESSION I AM WORRIED ABOUT. I pray daily, even over my garden. I pray about family, and friends in my ward, neighbors, strangers sometimes, animals, victims in car accidents I just saw...anyone and anything. TEMPLE PRAYERS ARE THE BEST!!! It was snowing the other day and I took hot cocoa to the construction workers across the street from my house. RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS. THEY ARE IMPORTANT!!! I love Visit Teaching...sharing one anothers burdens and loving one another as he has loved us is sacred and beautiful. You can't help but feel uplifted by having done it!! My husband is not a member of the church and sometimes that is very hard for me. It's sometimes my biggest challenge. I can not have temple marriage without him. Patience is a hard lesson. But I remain hopeful that it will happen one day. We've known each other for 30+ years and have been married for 10 in February. (Pray for us) Well...that's how I live my faith...with the grain of a mustard seed sometimes. :)
