Hi I'm Logan

I am obsessed with gaining knowledge. I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have done a lot of cool little things in my life like having school leadership or becoming an Eagle Scout. But my favorite things in life have been going to college and serving an LDS mission to Iowa, Des Moines. I loved college so much because I had nearly unlimited access to knowledge and information. This sort of thing just makes me so happy! Some might call me a nerd, but I prefer the title "intellect" or "a gentleman and a scholar". I also liked classes where I got to collaborate and throw around ideas with other people. That interaction and growth was exhillarating. I have also enjoyed preparing for and serving my mission because I have grown so much closer to my friends, family, my Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ. I have grown and progressed so much the past few weeks, it's incredible! I find growth to be probably the most important thing to do as a human (besides loving others and being loved). So this was definitely a good choice!

Why I am a Mormon

I used to go through the motions of being a Mormon when I was younger. I didn't really understand what life was about, so I was selfish and thought mostly of myself. Luckily, I had a paradigm shift in my thinking. I found through research and personal experience that real joy doesn't come from rebellion and instant gratification; it comes from meaningful realationships and knowing that when I die, I'm going to be able to say that I changed the world for the better. As I started caring more about my impact on others and how I could serve them, I began to think less about myself, and eventually became much more happy. Strange how that works! As I tried to give more love I came so much closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. This just further confirmed my beliefs. I have really come to know that this Church is true, families can be together forever (enjoying the joy of meaningful relationships), and I know we can do anything asked of us because through Jesus Christ---anything is possible. It truly is awesome. I love it!

How I live my faith

I try to live by good example and by staying active in the community and the Church. I serve through being a missionary, as previously stated, so this means I am serving the Lord by trying to bring great truths to His children. Why would I do that? Because I believe that all people in the world deserve to be happy. I found an awesome way to do that. I don't want to take away what they have and force them to start over, but I want to take the good things they already possess and make them greater. What greater cause is there? I also try to stay active in serving others through participating in my Church callings as well as doing community service. I love to read the Book of Mormon and Bible daily! I smile. That should be a good sign as to what my faith does for me, and how living it changes me.
