Hi I'm Stephanie

I am a wife and mother of two!

About Me

I'm a Mormon Mommy! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Gerontology. I worked for several years as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. I do love to exercise and eat healthy and I also love creating! I LOVE all things crafty and cute. I am always painting, gluing, or creating something! I recently got into photography- mommy style of course! My home is full of pictures of my family. I also love to read. Being a mom doesn't leave a big window to read, but each morning I find time to read from the L.D.S. magazine, the "Ensign". It's pages are full of help and inspiration that apply to me personally and help me in my role as a wife and mother. I also read the Book of Mormon. It's pages bring me peace and comfort. I love learning about my Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that it's true. When I was 16 I loved going for walks. So, I set out one day on a walk by myself along a beautiful paved path not far from my house. As I walked, I prayed in my heart to know for myself if the Book of Mormon was true. I also wanted to know if Joseph Smith really saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I wanted to know if the church had been restored to the earth after Christ's death and resurrection, and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was that church. As I prayed in my heart to know the answers to my questions I felt a beautiful comfort come all over me. Like when someone you love gives you a big hug. And I heard this answer from my Heavenly Father, "Yes, Stephanie. It's all true". Tears filled my eyes and I knew that it was true, every bit of it! I've always remembered that moment. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and is aware of us and our circumstances. I know that if we seek Him, we will receive answers to our questions and find peace in our lives.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the Savior's example each day by living a good life. I look for ways to love and serve others. I try to ask people how they are doing and be concerned about them and their lives and happiness. I always look for ways that I can love and serve my own family. I currently work with the children in my neighborhood. We meet each Sunday and I teach them songs from the L.D.S., "Children's Songbook". These songs teach and testify of Christ. I also have a temple close to my home. We go as a family to the temple for picnics and walks. We admire the beauty of the temple and teach our children about the importance of temples and the work they perform. My husband and I attend the temple regularly both together and on our own. Attending the temple is another way I can serve and love others.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons help and love everyone to the best of our ability. Some of my dearest and closest friends belong to other religions. This hasn't stopped me from loving and serving them in their times of need. I have likewise been loved and served by them. I know that if we follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we will love and serve everyone. Show more Show less
