Hi I'm Lexa

I blush when I talk about blushing, love to explore, passionate about music, and best of all I LOVE the fact I AM A MORMON!!

About Me

I love life! I love exploring and going anywhere my two legs will take me! Recently started running and my dream is to run a 5k race. Also have found a hidden green thumb somewhere, and have taken up gardening. It feels healing. Currently working one fantastic job as a hostess at a restaurant. I am going back on September for the career path of my dreams; music! Super excited! Love songwriting, singing, playing the piano, and teaching piano as well. I love arranging hymns, and other uplifting music. Also have this passion for online schooling, and am hoping one day to be a teacher who assists or teaches students online! I have lots and lots of dreams and could go on for hours, but really what it comes down to is I just love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because every time I've prayed to God asking whether this church was true, the sweet confirmation of the spirit has been there for me. Every time I open my Book of Mormon or any form of scripture, God has answered the questions I have been seeking. I've felt God's love in my life, and have seen his hand in my life. He has rescued me from danger numerous amounts of times. In fact I have faith that I would not be sitting answering this question right now if he hadn't saved my life. I've found that I find the most happiness when I share the wonderful plan of salvation with the people around me. I know that we all have the chance to live with our Heavenly Father again, and that he wants all of his children to succeed. Everything I have learned has made me the person who I am today, and added so much joy that I couldn't possibly express it. My older brother Jesus Christ has been with me happy or sad, every step of the way.

How I live my faith

There's many ways I try to show my faith. I try to live my life in such a way that the spirit can be present and I can listen to it's promptings, whether it be in conversation, action, which commandment to focus on, what I read in scripture study, or even go as far as to say what I think about. I'm far from perfect but I know that through the Savior weak things can be made strong in him. Sometimes I feel small like I'm sure David did when he had to fight Goliath; the work of the adversary can seem huge, taunting and impossible to face, but I know as I do the things I'm supposed even when it's hard, I'm winning the battle I was sent here to face. What I really want is to make it back and live with my father in heaven again, and try to bring as many of his children with me as I can. One of the most important things I have learned to keep a testimony strong and healthy, is to not let doubt linger. When I have any doubts about anything it is very important that I pray to my Heavenly Father and tell him any concerns I am having, and then go to the scriptures and seek my answers. When the answers still don't come I just need to know that God is in control, and although things may not be going the way I want them to, I am learning the lessons that are best for me. When I let my doubts reside in me, I become less sensitive to the whisperings of the Holy Ghost and fear begins to lead my life in directions I do not wish to go. I know that if I make a mistake I always can repent, and that I have a Heavenly Father who will forgive me.
