Hi I'm Hilary !

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student studying to be an elementary school teacher. Teaching is a passion of mine along with singing and dancing particularly big band singing and the American clog. Why do I want to be a school teacher in these times? Someone needs to do it. Why not it be someone who will have a positive influence on our future generation? Let's face it -- this world is a lot harder than it was when even I was a child. Children needs role models all around them to help them development positive moral judgement and good character. I hope I can be that model for my future students. Singing has always been a passion of mine. I find that it is easiest for me to convey the spirit through music and sometimes music is just what someone needs to touch their heart. I love my family and love spending time with them. Even if it means just sitting around the dinner table talking. I am so grateful that I can be with them forever!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this faith. I have prayed to know its truthfulness for myself and the answer is always an overwhelming peace. I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. It has everything I need and more! Families can be together forever and I know that because of this church. Death does not have to be the end. It doesn't have to be the end for you or your parents or your spouse or your children. What a wonderful gospel to have a plan that can seal us to the ones we love forever! I'm a Mormon because I know it's true.

How I live my faith

I am an active member on this church. I organize activities for the Young Single Adults which range from ages 18 to 30. I love the other young single adults and they have become another family to me. The activities that I plan are meant to bring the members together. Like a paint war or a men's pageant, there are always new things popping up. I live my faith by being a positive examples to others. It may seem a simple thing to do but you'd be surprised the difference it makes. People notice! Good wholesome activities aren't common with people my age but with this church -- they are!
