Hi I'm Morgan

I'm a Mormon. I am retired military and love going to church on Sunday. I am a recently called as a Ward Missionary.

About Me

I have been a member of the Latter-Day Saints church all of my life. Like Nephi, I was born of goodly parents. My mother has always been very active and made sure that all 9 of us kids always attended church. My father was inactive until I was 10 years old. He finally took my mother and us kids to the Idaho Falls Idaho temple to be sealed for time and all eternity. My older sister and younger brother and I sang as a trio for many years and were allowed to sing in the sealing room, to the temple presidency. It was the most memorable day of my life and I felt the spirit of the comforter very unmistakebly that day. I love being a member of the LDS church and look forward to doing anything that I can to be a good member. Now, My lovely bride and I have 8 children and 26 grandchildren and we feel very blessed. My wife and I will soon go on a mission as a couple and are looking to that day. I spent 26 years in the army and retired a few years ago. I am very blessed and the lord has continued to bless us as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

Because my mother raised me to be strong in the church, I have tried to follow her guidance and be strong also. I have 5 brothers and we are all High Priests in the LDS church. I can't imagine anything more fulfilling that eternal life with them and the rest of my family.

How I live my faith

I accept the callings that I am given and try to perform my jobs to the best of my ability. While in the military I always had a copy of the Book of Mormon on my desk and have had many teaching opportunities. The results have been very good as I have watched several individuals investigate the church and I have helped to baptize 2 men.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Morgan
I learned in the Articles of Faith that the Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. Over centuries of time the Bible has been re-written, added to and changed to fit different views. That is why the lord had Joseph Smith Jr translate the Book of Mormon as another testiment of Jesus Christ. Both books are scripture but the Book of Mormon is closely watched since the prophet translated it. We know that it is very pure doctrine. If you will read and study the Book of Mormon, and pray fervently to your father in heaven while you study, you can have the assurance that I have of the divinity of that book. Show more Show less
