Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a Mormon. I love soccer, tennis, cooking, music, and most importantly my family and friends.

About Me

I was born a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints, which means I am a Mormon. However, I have chosen to be and stay a Mormon because I know the gospel to be true and I love it. I know that true happiness comes from following our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and applying the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Hobbies: trying new foods (especially Asian); trying new hobbies like bocce ball, Polynesian dancing, cake decorating, cello, singing Tenor part up an octave; exercising and playing soccer and tennis; listening to music; playing piano and flute; hiking and enjoy nature Family: my best friends. We are all so different and I love learning from and talking to each of my four older sisters. And I can't forget my adorable nephews and niece Other fun facts: born 4 weeks early, youngest of 5 girls, have 20+ nicknames from my family (the most common is “Pooka” (which is short my Italian nickname “Pookadeli”), my dog Bella and I share the same birthday which is also D-day, girls high school tennis captain, made my sister’s wedding cake (the fondant too), graduating from college really soon in business management, and I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint is the true church and that it contains the fullness of the gospel here upon this earth. I am a Mormon because I want to follow the God’s commandments and principles of the gospel taught in the church. I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, meaning it is the same gospel that Christ established during His ministry and that through God’s servant Joseph Smith that the gospel is here upon the earth again today. I am a Mormon because I know God and His Son Jesus Christ live. I am a Mormon because I know Jesus Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and atoned for my sins and sufferings. I am a Mormon because I know families can be together forever through the sacred covenants made in the temple. I am a Mormon because I know we have a prophet of God here on this earth, just as we did in the Old and New Testaments. God remembers and loves His children always and sent His son here for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving every day to follow my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. This means daily seeking the Spirit of the Lord through scripture study and prayer so that I feel true happiness and feel of God’s guidance. I also strive to live my faith by serving others. I feel very blessed in life and I feel “where much is given much is required” (D&C 82:3). My favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon are Mosiah 2-4 because when I read these chapters I feel a greater desire to serve God and live my faith by serving others, and in return I feel of His love and approval for the life I am living. Mosiah 4: 19 & 21: For behold, are we not all beggars? Do we not all depend upon the same Being, even God, for all the substance which we have, for both food and raiment, and for gold, and for silver, and for all the riches which we have of every kind? And now, if God, who has created you, on whom you are dependent for your lives and for all that ye have and are, doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask that is right, in faith, believing that ye shall receive, O then, how ye ought to impart of the substance that ye have one to another.
