Hi I'm Shannon

Thank you for taking time to look at this website I know it will be a blessing to you.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 6 children, 2 grand-daughters and a grandson. My favorite thing to do is watch my chidren play sports; especially basketball, volleyball, football and baseball. I home-schooled my children until they were in the 3rd grade and when our youngest child when to school I returned to college to get my education. I found out that if I was a student at the college, I could take institute, so I slowed down to 1-3 credits a semester and will graduate in December 2011. I am so thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. Sometimes life is really hard, but I know I can do anything as long as I have the Spirit as my companion. I love the Gospel and love to share it at every opportunity. I know true happiness and continued blessings come to me as I strive to live like the Savior and follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I feel as if I am the most blessed person in all the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I often think about the church and believe that even if I didn't know it was true, I would live the Gospel to the best of my ability anyway because of the blessings that come to me as I do. I am thankful that I do know the church is true. It was made known to me as a young girl when I needed to know which path to take. I can't imagine being without the Holy Ghost to comfort, and guide me or being without living prophets and the scritpures to tell me the things I need to know and do. I know the words of Christ (through scripture and living prophets) and the Holy Ghost tell us all the things we need to know and do. Through these two means, I have found answers to all of my questions and have found daily guidance and direction. I am so thankful to parents and ancestors who sacrificed so much so that I could have the Gospel in my life. I love the Savior and feel so grateful to know He loves me and will help me as I ask and obey.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live as Christ would live. Right now I am serving in the Primary, which is the organization the children attend. I love little children and know Jesus loved them when He was here upon the earth and still loves each and every one of them. I also read my scritpures and pray each day to know what Heavenly Father would have me do. As a mother I feel the most important thing I can do to live my faith is be an example to my children. I feel strongly about striving to create a climate in my home with good music, pictures and a Spirit of love for each other. We have family scriptures every day because I know it is a protection to my children and provides them with opportunities to feel the Spirit and learn for themselves how much God loves them.
