Hi I'm Cishella

I am a student of Psychology. I am a musician and artist of multiple styles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to think of myself as a diverse person. I have had to opportunity to live in a few different states during my childhood and young adult life. Places such as Las Vegas, Nevada, Portland, Oregon and Chico, California. I am currently studying Psychology because I have a passion for helping people resolve their problems as well as a good ear for listening. I have been studying music for the greater part of my life and play both the piano and the guitar as well as sing. I consider myself a musician mainly because I write original pieces as well as arrangements of hymns. I am also an artist and have been drawing and painting since I could hold a crayon. My favorite type of art is photography.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the blessing of being born and raised in this amazing gospel, but did not always choose to live the standards. As a teenager I continually asked myself if I did really believe in the church or if I was just living off of my parents testimonies. As a young adult I decided to make choices that didn't coincide with the teachings of the gospel, thus resulting in inactivity. However, it was during those times of trials and mistakes that I came to the understanding of the gospel. After many heartaches and moments of despair I realized how much I needed the gospel in my life. Know a few years have past and I have never been happier. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has helped me discover who I am. I feel Gods love for me every day! I see how much He cares for all of his children by the small and big miracles that occur daily. I believe that He loves us so much He sent His son Jesus Christ to atone for our sins. I have faith that someday, if I live righteously, I will return to live with my Father in Heaven. That I will have to chance someday to marry in Gods temple and have an eternal family. This gospel makes me happy, and that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Well, I currently attend a Young Single Adult ward and I have a few different callings. First is I am on the Activities Committee. So basically what I help do is plan and prepare activities a few times a month for all the members of my ward. Second, I am on the dance committee. With this calling I help plan themed dances for my ward and sometimes other YSA wards. And lastly, I am the new Relief Society Visiting Teaching Adviser. I get the wonderful opportunity to inspire the sisters of my ward to visit teach.
