Hi I'm Jacob

I'm from California. I love to read. I'm tall. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jacob. I'm 20 years old. I like to read, swim, watch tv and movies, and play sports. In high school I was on the track team, cross country team, basketball team, and the Academic Decathlon team. I also was in a play. I have been blessed with an amazingly awesome family. I have two brothers, one sister, and two of the coolest parents in the world. I enjoy eating good food.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church and the Gospel it teaches are true. It has been proven over and over throughout the course of my life that the things I've learned about Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His Gospel in these latter days reflect things as they are, as they have been, and as they will be. I have seen the fruits of the teachings of the Church in my life. I have seen that they are the only sure way to lasting peace and happiness. It has been a natural occurence that when I have strived to live the principles of faith, repentance, diligence, integrity, and selflessness that I have been taught that things have worked out. God has blessed me as I've done my best to follow His Son's example. In the teachings of the Church I find answers to the big questions of life, and everything fits together in a beautiful display of God's love for His children. In the Church I find peace, comfort, understanding, answers, and blessings from my Heavenly Father. Through the witness of the Holy Ghost, I have a testimony that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I know that He is my Savior and Redeemer. Likewise, I know that the Book of Mormon is a true witness of His reality and divinity. Therefore, I know that Joseph Smith was indeed a Prophet called of God. These things are the foundation of my testimony and the real reason behind why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by serving as a missionary for my church in Washington state. I have fully dedicated two years of my life to the service of God in striving to help his children to learn more about the Restored Gospel and how it can bless their lives and the lives of their families. I try every day to come closer to my Savior and to my Heavenly Father through prayer and scripture study. Ultimately I live my faith by simply trying everyday to follow the example of Jesus Christ.
