Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hi I'm Christiana Marie

I'm 23. I'm a face-painter. I love music, art & adventure and I'm forever blessed to say I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working as an Assistant. I was a full time Nanny for 3 years and I loved it. I plan to go back to school to become a Preschool Teacher. As I mentioned above, I also work as a Face-Painter, which I have been doing for about 6 years now. The outdoors is my true home. I love camping and hiking. Adventure is where I can really let my Spirit roam free. I love art and my main hobby is photography. I love music and I love to sing. I am the oldest of 3 girls and I love my family more than anything. I have been told I have a very bright personality and I always strive to find the positive in EVERY situation.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become a member because of the light and the beauty the Gospel brings. Everything just made sense after learning about the Gospel through taking the discussions with the missionaries. My whole perspective on this life has changed forever and I wouldn't be the person I am today if it wasn't for the knowledge the word of God has brought me. Everything in my world went from bad to having a purpose as soon as I learned and understood the Atoning Sacrifice of our Elder Brother and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is a wonderful and humbling feeling to know that the love of our Heavenly Father is unconditional and that He knows us more than we know ourselves. I have a testimony that our Father in Heaven knows every one of us so individually and His plan for us brings such happiness and truth to my soul. He provides us with comfort and strength through the Spirit of the Holy Ghost. He guides us through trials and gives us promised blessings. He never turns His back on us and He is always there with His hand reaching out towards us. I believe everything happens for a reason and in according to His individual plans for each of us. Through the power of prayer, I'm able to connect with the Father of my spirit and I was able to make the decision to follow His only begotten Son and become baptized of water and fire. I walk proud as a member of this amazing Gospel, and my heart is even more full now that one of my younger sisters made that same decision I made almost 5 years ago.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by remaining an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I stay connected with my fellow sisters and brothers in my ward by attending all the weekly social activities. I attend church meetings EVERY Sunday :) I read my scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father daily. I stay true to the Word of Wisdom and I follow the teachings of the church with FAITH.

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Christiana Marie
I have a strong testimony of modesty and chastity. Having modesty and remaining true and faithful to the Law of Chastity have everything to do with how we respect our bodies and the bodies and minds of others. Heavenly Father provided us with these mortal bodies and He created us in His image. We must remember that our bodies are our personal sacred temples and keeping them as clean and pure as possible is a beautiful reminder of our gratitude for this gift. Respecting this sacred gift means reserving physical intimacy for marriage between a man and woman, covering our bodies appropriately in dress and using language about the body that is always uplifting. Being an example is the greatest way parents teach their children the blessings that come with respecting their bodies. Show more Show less
