Hi I'm Reid Tateoka

I left my law practice, served three years in Sendai, Japan, survived the earthquake, focused on helping others. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am an attorney. I am father of three great kids. I run nearly every morning. I love golf. I am currently living in Sendai, Japan. The devastation is just as you see in the news. Helping here with my wonderful wife has been one of the highlights of my life. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all who have helped the Japanese people. The Japanese people appreciate your kindness. All of your encouragement has helped make life bearable for these people. Thank you for all that you do for the people of Japan. Ganbaru Japan! Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my beliefs help me feel joy and peace. Through living the gospel of Jesus Christ, I receive happiness in this life and salvation in the life to come. My hope is enlarged through knowing Jesus Christ has provided a way that I can live eternally with my family and my Savior. I am a better person because I am a Mormon. I feel greater love and can give more love to others because of my religion. I know that God lives and hears and answers our prayers. Because God loves, us he has restored the Word of God through the Book of Mormon. I know that through reading the Book of Mormon and living its precepts, a person can draw closer to God than by any other way. God loves us so he sent prophets to the earth to help give us guidance and direction. We are led by a living prophet. Jesus is our Savior and rRedeemer.

How I live my faith

I try to do some good each day. My church gives me opportunities to serve and help others. I strive to become the best person I can become. I try to use the time God gives me effectively by helping others. I want to be a blessing and not a burden to my family, my church, my work and my community. I desire to be the kind of person that helps to uplift others whereever I go. I want to be a friend to all.
