Hi I'm Dianna

I love music. I play the piano and have taught piano lessons for eighteen years while raising five children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 49 year old grandmother of nine, with number 10 on the way. I have been married for 30 years and have five children, three girls and two boys. All of my children are raised now so I am an "empty nester". I have taught piano lessons for about 18 years now. I have been teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) for three years. It has been challenging and interesting. I love to bake whole wheat bread and any kind of goodies. I love music and am learning the violin. I love to read and learn new things. I am trying to learn to speak Spanish. My favorite role is being a mother and a grandmother. All of my children and grandchildren live out of my state, so I love it when they come to visit.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. Both my parents were members of the church. I continue to attend the Mormon Church because I believe it is true and its teachings have been a huge blessing in my life. I have two brothers who are struggling with alcoholism and I am grateful that I have never drunk, smoked or used any kind of drugs. I have a wonderful marriage because I was taught to be chaste and my husband and I have always been faithful to each other. I have a good relationship with my children because we are taught to be loving, kind and forgiving. We are financially secure because we have followed the counsel to stay out of debt and to save money for a rainy day. My children have been raised the same way I was and are happy and healthy also. We just feel that we have been tremendously blessed by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church for three hours every Sunday. I am the organist for our congregation. I am also a youth leader so I teach Young Women on Sunday and attend activities with them every Wednesday night. I do not drink, smoke or use drugs. I do not shop on Sunday or attend R rated movies.  I try to be kind and helpful to everyone that I come in contact with. My students always tell me that I am a nice teacher and that I, always seem happy. I am not always happy, but I am glad that it appears that way to people that I am around. I do always feel at peace though, because I understand the purpose of life. My greatest peace comes from praying and reading the scriptures everyday.
