Hi I'm Ann

I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my sweetheart for over 50 years. I am a mother, a mother-in-law and a grandmother. I grew up in Utah. I love learning new things and am always looking for opportunities to grow mentally and spiritually.I play the piano and the organ. Music brings joy to my soul and peace to my mind. I have directed wonderful musicals, painted fun murals, danced in the rain and held two tiny, beautiful newborn babies in my arms. I have been present when my grandchildren were born and I have been with loved ones when the quietly slipped from this life and I marvel at life. I have traveled to all the States in the United States of America and many countries throughout the world. I come from and now have a loving, supportive family. They are the light of my life. I love the Scripture from Third John, verse 4" I have no greater joy than to hear that my children and grandchildren walk in truth."

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am selfish! The blessings I receive for me and for my family are so extensive. The men in my life all have the Priesthood of God and they use this priesthood to bless our lives. I was baptized and confirmed by men who honor their priesthood. I have never been sorry that I am a Mormon. Everything good that comes to me comes because I am a Mormon. The Holy Ghost is my constant companion. I feel his guidance and protection in my life and in the lives of my precious family members. I have met wonderful people through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are my dear friends and they are good and kind. They care about each other and help when it is necessary. I met one of my dearest friend through a calling in my Ward. We have remained close friends for over 40 years. I am always meeting new people and forming new friendships, young and old. We are all trying to do what is right. I am a Mormon because it is good and it is right and I am a better person because of the teachings and opportunities I obtain through my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I read the Scriptures, i.e. the Bible, the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine in Covenants , the Pearl of Great Price, the Ensign. I attend my Church meetings weekly and accept the callings to serve in my Ward and Stake. I do my best and know that I can succeed in my assignments because the Lord has promised me that He will help and direct me if I but ask Him to do so. I pray often, many times a day, sometimes formally and many times in quick little conversation with my Father in Heaven. I know Him and I know that He knows and loves me. I appreciate the sacrifice of my Saviour Jesus Christ and I try to do things the way I know He would have done them. I love the Spirit that resides with me when I do these things. I love attending the Temple and feeling the quiet reassurance that "all is well."
