Hi I'm Patrick

I have red hair. I'm left handed. I'm studying graphic design in college. I enjoy snowboarding and apple pie. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pretty typical mormon kid. Huge family, goofy parents, the works. I grew up in Utah and was surrounded by a lot of Mormons growing up. My two best friends however, were Lutheran and Catholic, so we did have some of diversity. We've been best friends for 12 years and still going strong. I love to snowboard and rock climb in Utah's mountains. (best snow on earth! Woot woot!) I'm going to school down in Provo, (the Jimmer one) studying graphic design. I love it. My dream is to get a cool job in a big city like L.A., New York, or San Francisco and have a cute little family someday. I have to figure out how to get a girl to like me first, so we'll see.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess you could say I'm a Mormon because I was born to two people that were Mormon, so I didn't have much of a choice, but as I've gotten older, it has become much more than that. I had to choose for myself if I wanted to continue to live what they had taught. I'm very aware of what media and popular culture says about Mormons and Christianity in general, and I had to find out for myself if the church was true. Not just a nice social program, but God's true, living church, with prophets to guide us and new scripture. I studied on my own, prayed on my own, and experimented living the commandments on my own. I am still growing in my testimony, but I now know for myself that this is a true Church. Contrary to popular opinion and belief, I have felt God directly communicated with ME. And I cannot deny that.

How I live my faith

On a very personal level, I study the Book of Mormon and Bible and sincerely pray, and that is how I grow in my faith the most. I do, however, go to church, and attend church social activities, where I receive an extra boost from people with my same beliefs. I am far from perfect, but I try to get better all the time.
