Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a college student, a backpacker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married college student. I like spending time with my wife and being outdoors. Backpacking, canoeing, snowboarding, skiing, fishing and hunting, really anything that gets me outside I like and I try to do as often as possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know it is true. I believe in Jesus Christ and this church teaches of Jesus Christ and how to become more like Him. It gives me the hope to one day return to my Heavenly Father and live in His presence wtih my family after this life. This gospel helps me be a good man, husband, and citizen in my community and nation. I'm a Mormon because I love God and His Son, Jesus Christ; He is my Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I am the scoutmaster for my ward's scout troop. I share my love of the outdoors with the scouts and help instil the principles of the scout oath and law in their lives. The principles of scouting and the LDS Church compliment each other to encourage young men to make wise moral decisions and to serve people around them. I volunteer in this compacity every Wednsday night and on numerous weekend camping trips and activities.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, we are Christians. We are commonly called Mormons but the real name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Just as Christ's name is in the center of the title of the church so is His life, ministry, and teachings at the very center of our lives. We believe that He is the Son of God and that he has atoned for our sins. Show more Show less
