Hi I'm Tamie

My husdend and I are raising our family of 5 in Washington state. I love to do photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have five children that keep me hopping. I enjoy photograph, cooking, and working with children. I am adventures with my children I go for hikes, bike rides.

Why I am a Mormon

My oldest son died when he was 31/2 years old. It was an accendent in our home. I did not go to church, but I did believe in God. The God I believe in counted my wrongs. When my sons accendient happened, I knew he needed a blessing, but I had never hear of anyone doing a blessing. A friend of mines father was a bishop. She is and was not an active Mormon. I turned to her and asked her if her Dad could help us get a blessing for our son. Not long after I asked her two men arrived at the hospital and gave our son a blessing, I knew they could not save him, but he need a blessing, They also gave me a blessing too. Hours later our son passed away. When he pasted the room felt like white light was all around us. A lady who know me just before our son pasted away, come to our home to give us a video "Families Forever". I did not watch it right away. A few month after the passing of our son, a man from the Mormon church kept calling and asking if my husbend would like to learn about the Mormon church. You see I was baptized when I 14 1/2, but was not attending church since I was 141/2. I really didn't have a testamony of the church. I told the man that my husbend did not belive in God. Thank goodness he did not give up. He spoke with my husdend and he was open to hear about the church. We love how much the church is about family. We love knowing we can be with our family forever not just for time while we are on here on earth. I am so gratefull to know that I will be able to see my son and other family member agian.

How I live my faith

How I live my Faith is I am over all the children under the age of 12. I make sure they are teacher for each age, plan acitivies, help with the Cub Scout program and Activity Days for Girls. Activity Days is we the girls get together twic a month and do crafts, skits and work on their Faith in God program. I am also activly helping with Boy Scout througth the church. It is wonderful that the Mormon Church has the boys doing the scouting program. I have seen the difference it makes in our youth lives. I help with our local food bank and once a year we help with feeding a group of homeless men.
