Hi I'm Lisa

I grew up in California. I love teaching preschool. I enjoy meeting new people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from a University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development. I love teaching children and helping them learn and grow. I have three nieces and a nephew, who I love spending time with. I learn so much from children. I have an amazing family who love and support me in all that I do. I could not have asked for a better family! I grew up in a family which consisted of: my dad and mom, three brothers (two older and one younger) and two older sisters. There was never a boring moment around! My siblings and I have always been the best of friends. I enjoy gardening, spending time with family and friends, crocheting, playing games, and watching movies. I also love playing the piano, guitar, and singing. I find it refreshing at the end of a long, hard day to play the guitar. My day always goes ten times better after playing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon (member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) because it brings me an indescribable amount of peace, joy, and happiness in my life. Being a Mormon brings me hope for the future, direction in my life, and confidence in knowing that I am a daughter of God with great potential. I know that through the Atonement that my Savior, Jesus Christ, made for me, and for each of us personally, that I can change and become more Christlike each and every day. I'm grateful that Christ knows how to comfort me when I feel sad or lonely, because he has felt every pain and suffering that I've been through, or will ever go through. I'm a Mormon because I believe in Christ and His ability to save me from sin and to help me become more like Him so that I will be worthy to live with my family eternally in Heaven someday.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by showing through my actions that I am devoted to following what Heavenly Father has asked me to do. I'm not perfect, but I strive my hardest to be the best person that I can be on a daily basis. I attend church meetings every Sunday and try to live principles that I learn at church to my every day life. I volunteer at different events in my community. I am involved in many church activities with the young single adults in my area. When I am placed in a social setting where I see someone who feels left out or lonely, I try to think about what Christ would do, and I start talking to them and get to know them. I usually am greatly blessed and gain life time friendships through experiences like this. I also read from The Book of Mormon on a daily basis. Doing so truely blesses my life as it brings answers to prayers and added comfort and guidance in my life.
