Hi I'm Atim Aru

I was born in Sudan, migrated to the U.S. when I was 11 years as a refugee. I love politics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Sudan. I have 2 amazing brothers and a very strong and dedicated mother. When I was 8 years old my family migrated to Cairo, Egypt. We were refuges in that foreign land for a few years. Our mother had a bigger vision for her sons and thy was to get us out of Africa all together. We were admitted to come to the U.S. when I was 11 years old an even more foreign land, with huge cutler shock, not knowing the English language, or the lifestyle, and the weather was definitely we needed to adapt to, particularly the winter. We live kind of all over the in the states, trying to find out where we fit in. When I was 17 my family move to Pennsylvania and that when the missionaries found me and I was baptized when I was junior in high school. I joined the church all on my own, alone, no one refereed, I was just at point in my life where I needed to make changes, and the missionaries knocked on my door and the rest is history. I was baptized on 11.26.2005. Since that day I have served a faithful full time LDS mission in Washington DC. and I'm currently attending Weber State University in Ogden UT. I love all sports, I have a favorite and a favorite athlete in every sport. I love politics.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because, everything that has happened in my life prior to joining the church was a preparation to me finding the gospel so that when it was presented to me I would know how to recognize it and fully embrace it. And have taken the time to talk with the author of all truth about the things i was taught. I know I am a child of God.

How I live my faith

Fear is nothing compared to regret. Fear last but a small moment and regret last a life time. This how I live my faith. The gospel of Jesus Christ does not allow me to fear, because I trust it 100% that is why I will continue to share with everyone I know. I attend my regular church services, I strive to fulfill my duties.
