Hi I'm Lindsay

I have 3 children and a loving husband. I grew up in the church, left it and came back. I'm a recovered addict and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old and I was adopted into a LDS family when I was young. As long as I can remember Ive been a Mormon. I was strong in the church as a youth until I ventured out on my own. I took the "Worldly" paths and ended up a single mother of 2 and living at a homeless shelter. One of my children had already been removed from my care into my parents home. I found my loving husband and decided the fast life wasn't smart anymore. I never felt abandoned by my Heavenly Father even though I clearly abandoned him. My family and my loving Father in heaven NEVER gave up on me. I beat all my addictions through faith and the support of my family, friends and the church. I now have 3 beautiful children all within my care, and a wonderful husband. I work a part time job and get to be with my family the rest of the week. I have my own small business and love to be crafty and be involved with the Young Womens organization as the 1st Counselor. I love to help guide these beautiful girls towards the paths of righteousness, and teach them through my mistakes. I don't regret my mistakes for if I hadn't taken the paths I did, I wouldn't be where I'm at today or as strong. There is always hope NO MATTER what you may think or have done. Our Heavenly Father has forgiven me of all my impurities and sins, just as he can do for you.

Why I am a Mormon

This church has done so much for me spiritually and physically. The love and the peace that come from being a member are priceless. Without the church I would probably still be lost or worse. It was hard to come back. I felt judged by everyone. But the truth is no one knew of my transgressions and only wanted to love me. I had to literally walk away from everyone I knew, and start over with new friends, TRUE friends who wanted only the best for me.The atonement of Christ is real and I know my Savior Atoned for my sins. Being a member is as hard as ever. But its well worth it in the end. This church helps to keep me on track and trying my best everyday. Some of my friends tell me that they feel like something in their lives are missing. I simply tell them to go to church. Christ can fill that void in your heart and he wants to. You just have to let him in. Hes knocking and waiting, as he always has been. Open your heart. I know this church is his true church. Simply because Ive prayed about it, I know The Book of Mormon is another Testament of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know hes given us a prophet today to help guide and direct us as he always has done in the past. I love this church, my family and the Gospel. It truly has saved my life. I urge you to get on your knees and sincerely pray if all this is true or not. You will know with a surety that it is. I promise you.

How I live my faith

I have helped in my ward by teaching the 4-5 year olds. I am currently teaching the 12 to 18 year old girls. I love this calling and the benefits spiritually are amazing. They bless my life as much as I do theirs. My biggest, greatest calling is being a mother. Its hard at times but overall rewarding. I try to teach my children by example and through love. Just as my Savior did for me.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Lindsay
Yes! If you live your life worthy and get Sealed or Married in Gods holy house, The Temple. I have been sealed to my parents, and a year ago got to be sealed to my husband and 3 beautiful children. This gives me great comfort to know that as long as I keep my promises to my Heavenly Father I can live with my family after death for eternity. Show more Show less
