Hi I'm John

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I am an electrical engineer engaged in hardware design. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy solving problems and creating new things. I like people and the opportunity to work with others in achieving shared goals. I love the beauty of nature and the wonders of God's creations. I like to read, run, dance, and spend time with friends and family. I am the father of both sons and daughters. I have been involved in the Scouting program for many years. I am happy to be alive!

Why I am a Mormon

I have embraced the faith of my parents. They were hardworking, honest, compassionate, and devout. They cherished truth, served others, and sought to do their best in all endeavors. They loved family and devoted their time and energy to them. I have come to recognize the same truths that motivated them to embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have felt the peace and joy that come through a relationship with God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. The atonement of Jesus Christ grants me continuous hope and healing. Because of Him, and the promise of eternal life and eternal families, I am able to greet each new day with optimism and look to a future with promise.

How I live my faith

I have served as a bishop (pastor), and in other roles, that have allowed me to witness the Lord's loving care, comforting hand, and tender mercies, not only in my life but also in the lives of others. I work with the youth, giving service to others and working to develop talents, skills, and character. My wife and I work as group leaders, organizing and leading group meetings for those participating in the Church sponsored Addiction Recovery Program.
