Hi I'm Jessica

I am a friend, country girl, sister, a daughter of God, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time student majoring in History Teaching. I love to sing, although I don't usually perform for an audience. I played softball for twelve years and loved every minute of it. I'm a country girl, I love being out in the backwoods with my horse or dogs. I work at a ranch in Wyoming which has helped me to share the gospel with people that I would not have otherwise come in contact with. I love being LDS. It literally means the world to me. My parents and most of my extended family aren't members of the Church, or they are inactive. I am so grateful for the examples in my life that have led me on the right path. I wouldn't trade my life or my experiences for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I am LDS because I know that it is the only true church on the earth today. I know that Christ stands at the head of this church and that he wants nothing more than for us to follow Him so we might be able to be with Him in the eternities with our families. I know that Joseph Smith was more than qualified to usher in this dispensation. I am grateful every day for his sacrifice to make it so that I could be a member of this great church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every minute of every day. I have to. I do this because as my family are not members, I have to constantly be on my toes and always be an example to them. I also visit with some incredible sisters with one of my friends. We talk about our lives and discuss how Christ has set an example for us and what our current prophet, Thomas S. Monson, has advised us to do.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Jessica
The Word of Wisdom is something that we, as LDS people, take pride in. We CHOOSE-that's right, we are not forced- to stay away from drugs, alcohol, and also coffee and teas. There are so many blessings that come from living this principle! Not only do you feel better physically, but your brain is so much more alert without those addictive properties. I know that as we live the Word of Wisdom that we will be blessed, we will be able to accomplish anything that we desire. Show more Show less
