Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a mother, a wife, a sister and a friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom for a beautiful baby girl. I have a degree in mass media communications, and loved learning about all the different aspects of media. I am a flute player and I love all types of music. I love to go to concerts, symphonies and plays. I love to read. I love the mountains in the fall and the beach in the summer. I love to travel. I love to laugh and hang out with friends. I love my family and being able to spend time with them. I love my brother - he's an inspiration to me. I love animals - my boxer is my best friend. I love my husband and my daughter more than words can express. And, most of all, I love my Heavenly Father for the blessings he bestows upon me and my family, for His guidance and comfort in good times and through trials and for the unconditional love and patience He shows to me each and every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. I grew up Catholic and I joined when I was 19. I have never once regretted my decision. It didn't come easy - I had friends and family that did not support my decision. But I knew it was true and couldn't deny it. I was blessed with some incredible friends when I was in high school, who were members of the church. I had never heard of Mormons before I met them, but the more time I spent with them and the more I got to know their families, the more I learned about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I learned that families can stick together through good times and hard times and be together forever. I learned that having Christ at the center of your home brought a peace that you couldn't feel just anywhere. My journey didn't start out with a desire to be baptized, but with a desire to learn more about what my friends believed and why it was important to them. They were patient with my questions, honest with their answers and so sincere with their testimonies. I felt the Spirit in ways I had never felt when I read the Book of Mormon. I felt the Saviors love when I prayed to know of its truth. I'm so blessed to be sealed to my husband and children for time and all eternity. Life can be hard and challenges will come our way, but having the gospel in my life gives me strength to overcome them and move forward. With the Lord by my side, anything is possible.

How I live my faith

Living your faith can be hard sometimes. The world is full of things that want to pull our attention away from the gospel. I live my faith by keeping a prayer in my heart. It keeps me strong when life starts pulling at me. I try to be an example to those around me, by making good choices and showing Christlike love to those I come into contact with. I read the scriptures, attend church and do service for those who need it. I help plan monthly activities for the women at church that help to teach them new skills, grow in the gospel and bring them closer together as friends. And lastly, I live my faith by keeping Christ at the center of my home, my family and my heart.
