Hi I'm Camille

I love a good book, a good movie, talking to friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I'm not serving my mission I am a single student at a local university. I have studied theater and film. I enjoy bowling, watching hockey, singing, reading, hanging out with family and friends. I really struggle with math but am determined to persevere.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS faith but like everyone I had to really come to know for myself that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I had my crisis of faith and when I came out on the other side I remembered and knew for myself it is all true. "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) But that is not the only reason. There is peace that cannot be found anywhere else, by any other way except through our Savior, Jesus Christ. A full and complete happiness.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full time (18 month) mission to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Camille
We are all children of our Heavenly Father and we all have times of need, no matter our beliefs. This life is difficult at times and we need to help those who need it. Our Savior helped where needed and we are to follow his perfect example. Show more Show less

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Camille
Family is a team effort. Everybody has an important and vital role to fill in the success of the family. A husband's primary role is that of provider, protector and spiritual leader in the home. A wife's primary role is nurturer and teacher, helping to keep the home running smoothly. But in a really successful team, all members find ways to fill in, help out, and lift up others when and where they can. When families are able to spend time together, whether in work or in play, they can keep the family bonds strong and make the home a safe place to always return to when others would try to break people down individually. What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Camille
To have a testimony is to be a witness of spiritual truth. To become this witness we have to seek for answers for ourselves. No one can do that for us and we can't do it for anyone else. As we read the scriptures, study the meaning, and pray we can found out what the Lord wants for us and from us by the power of the Holy Ghost. We then have a responsibility to share that testimony with others to show our gratitude for such a wonderful gift. A testimony is not a one time thing, every day we need to work to keep it strong and help it grow. Show more Show less
