Hi I'm Patricia Mahan

I grew up in Durango, Colorado. I am a first generation college graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was the first generation college graduate. I got my BA in Southwest Studies from Fort Lewis College. I am going to the local community college for an assosiates in Criminal Justice. I knit, sew, cook, quilting, a little woodworking, crochett. I enjoy reading, writing, gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was seven/eight years old the missionaries came to my home and taught me and my sisters. My mother was and is still an inactive member of the church. I have been inactive until I started going to Young Women. However, I never went to sacrement meetings. Then when I started going to college I have been active on and off. Then within the last year I have become active again. What I feel within the church I have never felt before. What I feel and believe with the and about the church can not be explained about the church. It is apart of who I am as a person.

How I live my faith

In the church I work with the nursary children for two hours after the church servise. I enjoy working with them. They may be a handful but they truly are a blessing from our heavenly father. Even though I am not a mother I have come to appriciate all that mothers have come to do for us. When I am not at sacrement meeting on Sunday or in the nursary. I attending knitting with other sisters in the ward. I am going to school currently. I enjoy advanceing myself not just with knowladge but spiritually as well. I strive to find ways to serve others at all times.
