Hi I'm Rashelle

I have worked on ships. Now a college student. Loving every moment. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the water, swimming and rowing, anything outdoors. Graduated college, worked on ships for a few years, and served a mission. Working on the sea has helped me to know that Heavenly Father, God, loves me and that I am His daughter. I'm currently attending college, again, to study Environmental Engineering. Life has not always gone the way I have planed, but I have learned to pray and seek to follow Christ. By doing this opportunities to serve and help others have helped me feel Christ's love. My life feels more guided although times do get tough and I sometimes struggle to understand my circumstance, as long as I am following Christ I know that I am where I need to be and doing what I should be doing.

Why I am a Mormon

It's the only way I know to live a happy and fulfilling life. To have the help of the Holy Ghost everyday and know that when I need help he will be there for me to guide me. Most importantly to know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us so much that he send his son, Jesus Christ to live and die for all of us. I know that Christ lives, that he knows how I feel when I am going through trials, and that even the weakest can be made strong through Him.

How I live my faith

I start and end each day in prayer and scripture study. I do my best to be a great example of love for others. To think of how another person may be feeling and what they may need, to know that they are cared about by another person, whether it is a smile or some words of encouragement. In Church I am apart of an activity group for single adults over 25, we are able to plan activities where people can meet and build meaningful relationships.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

I have found that as I read the scriptures daily that I am happier. I often find myself sharing the impressions that I receive when I am reading to help others recognized that the scriptures do have bearing on our lives. That we are very similar to the people that we read about. When ever I have a question or am struggling to understand life and the trials that I go through I turn to the scriptures. I almost always find comfort, if it is not from the passages that I am reading, it is from the Spirit telling me the things I need to hear. Letting me know that I am cared for and that I must continue to live an obedient life to Christ's teachings and example. Show more Show less
