Hi I'm Kristen

I'm finally living my dream job as a mother, and a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I were blessed with our son as we were in the process of filling out paperwork for adoption. I'm finally living my dream job as a mother and have looked forward to this for many years. With time at home now I've decided to learn how to cook more nutritious meals by following the Weston A Price organization that teaches traditional cooking methods. I love to garden but it's a good thing our family doesn't have to live off of what we get each year as I have not figured out how to keep out the pest. I play indoor soccer for some free time on Thursday nights. I'm a fan of Glenn Beck as he is inspiring me to stand with courage and faith for the freedom and values that are the foundation this country was built on.

Why I am a Mormon

I am mormon because when I was 19 years old I had the desire to read the Book of Mormon for the first time. I remember laying on a blanket in the back yard and feeling a warmth in my heart as I read. It felt nice and I new that this was going to be a part of my life from then on. A month or so later I found myself very sad that I did not have any friends that were members of the church. I knelt by my bed, very upset, and began to pray for some friends with good values. As I was praying, I felt a physical warmth come over me as a hug that instantly stopped my crying and assured me that I would be alright. A few weeks later I decided to attend the church institute class at my local college. I made friendships that will last forever that summer and to this day that time of transition will always be a special chapter in my life.

How I live my faith

As my twenties continued and still no husband I decided to go on a mission. I was 25 and felt old out there but I knew once I made the decision to go that it was the right thing to do. I know now that my mission was mostly for my own growth but I like to think that I helped a few people find the gospel and change their lives. Since my mission I have served in the church by teaching the youth in Sunday school. Organizing activities for our young womens program and service opportunities for members of the church that need assistance. I know that when I read my scriptures and say my prayers daily I feel a closeness to my Father in Heaven that I don't feel otherwise.
