Hi I'm Mami.

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Japan. I moved to the United States in 1992.

About Me

I'm a mother of three children. I like music, especially singing and playing the piano. I teach piano lessons at home, and I enjoy it. I'm a member of two great local choirs and sing soprano.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church in Japan when I was 16. I was a lonely girl, and my self esteem was very very low. I couldn't find any hope in my future, and didn't know why I even exisited. Then I was introdued to the church. I met two wonderful sister missionaries and started learning about the church. At first I couldn't fully understand the things they told me, but for some reason I couldn't doubt anything. I learned about the purpose of life, and everything I needed to know to make my life meaningful. When they challenged me to get baptized, I wasn't quite sure about it because I didn't think I was ready at all. But when I prayed about it I received a clear answer... I felt really warm inside my heart and I knew it was the right thing to do. So I joined the church. Now I know who I am, why I'm here, and where I'm going after I die. Knowing the purpose of life has helped me quite a bit. My life has been blessed ever since.

How I live my faith

I try to be honest and kind to people around me. I also try to be helpful to those in need. I love serving others because when I do so I feel happy and blessed. In church I play the piano for the children's class. I absolutely love it! I'm so grateful that I can use my talent to bless others.
