Hi I'm Chelsee

I am from Colorado, I'm a photographer, I'm a full time student, I'm a wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Farmington, Utah until the age of 16 when my family moved to Castle Rock, Colorado. I am a full-time student in Idaho. I am studying Visual Communication and Sociology. I have a passion for photography and graphic design. I am married to the man of my dreams. When I graduate we will move back to Colorado where he can pursue his dream of Aviation Management. I served as a full-time missionary in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission. I love serving others and a dream to one day travel the world giving my services to those in need. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my whole life and hope to share a bit of the joy I have felt from being a member of this church every day of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have not always had a strong testimony of it's restored truths. I would stay that my conversion story began at the age of 15 when my best friend's dad was killed in a plane accident. My heart was broken into pieces and the only way I could feel peace was when I turned to my Father in Heaven. I remember nights and nights in prayer for understanding. I remember one night having a feeling that I was being wrapped in a blanket and I knew that God was aware of my pain and that He loved me. From that point on I made it my goal to understand the gospel better. I surrounded myself with good friends who shared the same values I did, I read the Book of Mormon more fervently and I prayed for greater understanding of the things I had been taught my whole life. When I moved to Colorado at the age of 16 I knew I had to be strong because I wouldn't be surrounded by as many Mormons on a daily basis like I was in Utah. I shared the gospel through my example as best I could. I wanted everyone to be as happy as I was. I knew who I was and that is something a lot of my friends longed for. After beginning school at BYU-Idaho my testimony grew stronger and stronger. I had an even greater desire for others to know what I know and to feel the joy I had felt. I decided to serve a mission and had an opportunity to serve in the Nevada Las Vegas Mission. On my mission, my love for the gospel grew even stronger. I saw lives change on a daily basis. I saw families come closer together. I saw hearts healed. I saw miracles daily. My mission solidified my testimony. I am a Mormon because I have have daily joy and peace in my life. I know who I am, I know what God's plan is for me and I couldn't be happier!

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis. My life and my religion go hand in hand, I live my religion everyday. I strive to serve others as much as I can. I pray individually and with others around me such a my family, my friends and my husband. At school we begin every class with prayer. I am able to feel the influence of the Holy Spirit throughout the day as I am in my classes or at work. I serve in organizations on campus where I am able to help others strengthen the skills and talents that they have for serving others. I hope that I am a great examples to others of how they can live their lives to have daily happiness!
