Hi I'm Lyndi

I'm a first grade teacher. I love to dance. I love to laugh. I love country music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently teach kindergarten and am finishing my masters in educational administration. Spending time with my family is the best. When I'm not with them, I'm probably cooking, country dancing, playing ultimate frisbee, or spending time with friends. Laughing is something I do daily because it makes every day better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that has been members of this Church for many, many years. I remember when I was 14 I needed to know for myself that this was true. I set a goal to finish reading The Book of Mormon from beginning to end by the time I went to summer camp. It was getting closer and I wasn't very close to finishing the book. I still wanted to finish it, so I read and read and read. I finished The Book of Mormon the night before I left for camp. Then I did what Moroni invites us to do in Moroni 10:3-5, pray about it. I did just that. Throughout the week I remember feeling so much peace. I didn't get this huge answer that The Book of Mormon was true, but I simply felt peace. It is a gift of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:22) and I knew that was my answer. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being me. I love to serve others and to teach and help those around me. One way I live my faith was when I had the opportunity to serve as a full-time missionary. I served the people in Maryland for 18 months. It was incredible to be able to find people to teach these eternal truths to and to see them change and find more joy than they thought was possible in life. For a few years I worked at a summer youth camp for the church. I love to teach and I love spending time with the youth. I love how much fun we were able to have as we each grew spiritually and made great friends.
