Hi I'm Becky

I am a wife. I am a mother of 5 children. I am a math teacher. I am a graduate student. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah and have lived near my home town all of my life. I am married to a wonderful man and we have 5 children, 4 that are living. I am a math teacher and tutor. I am also a youth leader in our church. I enjoy spending time with children and youth. They keep life interesting and fun. I am also working on a Master's degree. I love spending time with my family, especially in the great outdoors. I love fishing, camping, and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the reasons I like math and enjoy teaching math is because the laws of mathematics are constant and unchanging. One of the reasons that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a "Mormon", is because God's laws are constant and unchanging and the church teaches and expects it's members to live by these laws. When I live these standards, I have the confidence that I am living a lifestyle that will keep me clean from the sins of the world and the consequences of those sins. I am able to carry on my responsibilities as a wife, mother, and teacher with joy and with purpose. As a member of the church, I have learned how to be true to the Lord and his commandments. I have learned about God the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost and have felt of their love for me. I have felt the guidance of the Holy Ghost in my life's decisions. I have also felt comfort and peace during hard times.

How I live my faith

My faith in God and his plan have helped me know where to focus my efforts each day. I focus my time and energy on pursuits that I have determined will matter the most 1 Knowledge - I spend at least a few minutes each day reading and praying. Prayer is the way that I communicate with God and studying his words in the scriptures helps me to know the nature of God. We also have prayer with our family and ask for his watchful care over our activities of the day. 2 Relationships - I believe that our relationships with others continue beyond this earthly life. I spend time each day working on what is necessary to keep my most important relationships thriving and happy. The relationships that matter most are with my husband, with my children, with extended family and friends. Most of my day is spent in some time of service to these precious people in my life. Household chores of preparing meals, cleaning, driving children to activities, etc. takes up a big portion of my time, but are fulfilling to me when I take a moment to think about the big picture. My church responsibilities right now include working with the young women ages 12-18. I help plan activities for them that are uplifting and wholesome. 3 I also believe that our bodies are a precious gift and should be treated as such. I try to spend the time I need in taking care of my body by proper exercise and eating habits.
