Hi I'm Diana

I'm a wife, a mother of 3 girls and I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a wife. I am a mother of twins. I was a 5th grade teacher. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I take pictures to document our life. I love to be active and outdoors. I try to savor the moment. I count my blessings. I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. From a young age I remember having family scripture study and going to church every Sunday. At first, I followed along because I felt good at church and knew that my parents believed. I relied on their conversion for a long time. Once I entered Junior High, I slowly started to gain my own testimony. It was only after I decided that I needed to know for myself. Through some family struggles in Junior High, I came to some what of a cross roads. I felt like I could pick the Church's path or the World's path. I decided that at this point, I needed to understand for myself if the sacrifices I needed to make for the church were worth it. It was only after I read my scriptures by myself, prayed on my own and took my own time to study what I had been taught all my life that I was able to gain my own testimony. I'm 26 and there are still times where I struggle with my own testimony of certain gospel principles. Without fail, every time i have brought my struggles to my Father in Heaven or searched the scriptures in faith, I have found comfort, guidance, peace and assurance. I know my Father lives. I know that when I'm having a bad day and just want to give up, I can receive strength through Christ. I know that this life is only a probationary period. I know we can return to live with our Father in Heaven and I know the church is true.

How I live my faith

I was recently asked to be the Choir Conductor for our congregations Choir. Our church has many talented people with musical gifts and I am not necessarily one of them. I am terrified but I know that I can do it. I have such a testimony of the power of music and know that through this choir, we can bring the Spirit to the meetinghouse. The biggest way that I live my faith is by being an example to my children. I have a 2 year old and twin 9 month olds (yes, you read that right...THREE little girls under three years old). I feel like the biggest thing I can do right now is become a better person and stronger in the gospel so that I can teach them. There is so much power in example and I have realized that I need to become the type of example that I want my girls to look up to. I see so much potential in them for goodness. They can touch so many people if I can teach them in the way that I desire. By living the life I want to live, I can hopefully help them get on that path to greatness.
