Hi I'm Tyler

My name is Tyler and I'm from Salem, Utah. I love to run and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey my name is Tyler, I was born in Phoenix Arizona, and grew up in Hudson Wisconsin, and live in Salem Utah. I love to run, and go on hikes up in the mountains near my home. In high school, I ran track and cross country and was a team captain in both sports. After high school, i worked on a raspberry farm for a while, then went to Utah State University for a semester. While there, had the opportunity to run in some college track meets and learned about life, and the converting power of the spirit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but as I grew older I began to really think about the church and why I was a mormon. I learned much about this gospel and I gained a testimony for myself of why this church is true. During my time as a junior high student I didnt have the friendship that most people enjoyed. when I entered ninth grade I began to take seminary and as I went to class and really listened to what the teacher had to say, the feelings of social inadiquacy went away. Because of the things I expirienced with other kids at school I was more succeptible to the spirit. My testimony of the gospel became real and I knew with a greater surety that this was the one true gospel and it was something that would bless my life.

How I live my faith

As i have grown up in the church i have learned so much that has effected how i live. I have had the opportunities to be a senior patrol leader for my ward scout group. Scouting is a big part of our church and helped me to grow spiritually, physically, and intellectually. Growing up in the Church, we always had family scripture study. This helped me to gain a knowledge of the scriptures, and helped us to grow closer. Being out on my own, I have seen the gospel with a different perspective. The Gospel brings us hope and joy that cannot be found from anything this world has to offer. Applying the principles and doctrines of Christ gives us happiness and clarity in our lives. I love this gospel and what its done for me. As an individual, and in my family.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

There are many things around us that show us that there is a god. The existence of this earth and everything on it is a miracle. How the earth came to be in the exact location in which life could be sustained is proof that a superior being had to take part in its creation. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No, mormons are not required to serve a mission. Though many members choose to serve. I am currently serving a 2 year mission for the church, and I have been blessed abundantly for choosing to serve. There are many people who are without the gospel of jesus christ and I am honored to be able to bring it to them. Show more Show less
