Hi I'm Mical

I'm the oldest of 11 kids. I'm from the city but I have a country soul, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a pretty big family, 6 girls, 3 boys. I grew up a pretty normal kid, nothing really spectacular or out of the ordinary. Went to a small high school, played soccer and football and later played soccer and lacrosse in college for a year. I served a mission in T.H.E Mission, or the Texas Houston East Mission and came home in January of 2011. Since then I have been figuring out what I want to do with my life career wise, going to school, and working way too much. I'm on the journey to join the Air Force within the next year or so and becoming an officer then going into the FBI. Mostly so I can refer to myself as Special Agent Bollwinkel! How cool would that be? I attend Mesa Community College for the time being and for work I'm a Car Salesman at Larry H. Miller Nissan in Mesa, AZ. I'm just doing whatever I can to choose the right and be a good guy!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's true. Growing up I was just cruising with the church, and did what I was supposed to because that is what was expected of me. I had a lot of moments where I felt that this was something special, but I don't think I was mature enough to really understand it. During my highschool years I was the only member of the church, which made things a little more difficult to stay true. I strayed a little bit off the path, but never stopped going to church or anything. During the end of my Junior year in high school I kinda hit one of those rock bottom situations. I found myself in the trial and test of my faith, and so I prayed and asked and pondered about what I was supposed to do, and what was needed of me. I found it, and it was amazing. Even after some amazing experiences I didn't have a full understanding of the truth of His church, The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I continued to expound and strengthen my testimony of the truth, especially from the Book of Mormon. That's where I personally find most peace, is reading the words of those prophets of old. I was able to serve a mission as mentioned in Southeast Texas, and I had the most amazing time teaching the gospel to those in that place. Being able to see the change that the Restored gospel has on someone only has made me love it more and more. I know it's true, because of evidences that I cannot explain. Only that the Holy Ghost has made it known to me through my heart and into my soul. That's why I'm a Mormon, because it's true!

How I live my faith

After I came home from my mission I joined a YSA (Young Single Adult) ward, or congregation. In there I am apart of the Family Home Evening comittee where we make activities and lessons every Monday for those who may be away from thier familys either due to living conditions or school or whatever. In my day to day activities, I just do the best I can to follow His teachings. I read my scriptures, pray, share the gospel whenever I see an opportunity to help bring someone closer to Christ. I always do my best to be what I promised to be, an example and a light to others.
